We're reimagining the future of textiles.

Transitioning away from a reliance on synthetic materials
by finding solutions in natural systems, we created EcoShield to address the outdoor industry.

EcoShield is a multilayer textile for rainwear that eliminates the use of plastics and harmful PFC chemicals.

The Problem

The current outdoor gear industry relies on plastics and PFC chemicals.

Emission Pollution

During production, plastics create excess industrial waste and produce harmful emissions.

Microplastics

Microplastics are shed through wear and washing which pollutes air and waterways. Due to their synthetic makup, microplastics take to 200 years to biodegrade.

Perfluorinated Carbons (PFCs)

PFCs are used as water repellent additives within fabrics, or treatment for water repellent and flame retardant finishes. Their release during manufacturing, wear, and washing creates bioaccumulation leading to long lasting harmful health conditons and diseases.
